Established in 1979, Herndon & Associates (the business name assumed by Herndon & Herndon Investigations, Incorporated) reputation as a private investigation firm has grown. Over the past thirty-one years, we have developed with our clients and have continually met their needs for investigative services throughout the states of Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Arizona, Florida and Ontario, Canada.
The staff of 22 investigators includes court-qualified experts in fire origin and cause, theft of motor vehicles, ignition/steering columns, immobilizer systems, accident reconstruction, vehicle mechanical analysis, and surveillance. They are assisted by a 5 member support staff.

We also have an office in Boyne City and Coloma, Michigan, that offers services in the area of structural fire/explosion origin and cause investigations. Our Canadian office is located at 112 Crystal Beach Road, RR#3, Harrow, Ontario.
Herndon & Associates provides training to law enforcement, fire service, and insurance claim personnel in area’s of specialized investigation to include: origin and cause investigation, motor vehicle theft, ignitions and steering column locking systems, immobilizer systems, accident damage analysis, and surveillance techniques.
The firm’s auto theft / vehicle fire investigators and certified master mechanic are equipped with domestic and non-domestic diagnostic equipment. This diagnostic equipment provides information on the number of keys programmed to a vehicle equipped with an immobilizer system and secures information regarding the odometer as well as trouble codes, etc. Please contact our office for more specific information regarding the diagnostic equipment.
Our business hours are 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We now utilize E-Fax to receive any requests 24 hours a day. In addition, any investigative requests can be submitted online at www.herndon-assoc.com or via the phone during regular business hours. The firm has state-of-the-art computer equipment and network services that allow remote network access for all investigators.
